The Philadelphia Native.
Chris started programming and writing at age eight. Her after school hobby of computers and programming evolved into a passion that would last a lifetime. Chris’ creative writing won her awards with the Concerned Black Men Organization, Philadelphia’s Junior Achievement Program, and Philadelphia’s NAACP Chapter.

A Teenager Against the Odds, Trained by Champions.
A teenage mom, and graduate at age 17 from Gwynedd-Mercy Academy, Chris excelled in computers, science, and math. She enrolled in Temple University, School of HPERD majoring in Community Education in 1988. Under the wing of Temple Professor, and Olympic Champion, Dr. Nikki Franke, Chris showed diverse talent as the Manager of Temple University’s Women’s Fencing Team, and as a budding Community Educator.

A mentee of Bernadine Hawes (Former Vice President of University City Science Center) and Jerry W. Smith (Former. Chief Technology Officer of Ben Franklin Technology Center), she learned the foundations of computer networking and the Windows’ operating system. UCSC and BFTC helped to forge her skills for managing technology projects, and facilitated an early exposure to business development, entrepreneur resources and – the Internet. She was often a sixth-toe to Chris Higgins, who at the time was President of  LibertyNet.

In early adulthood, Chris plunged into technology consulting full-time, programming web applications and designing web environments for household name companies in the US, UK, and Canada. Her experience credits include Hewlett-Packard, DuPont, Computer Sciences Corporation, and MBNA (now Bank of America).

Small Business Wonder.
Engaging her audiences, Chris uses her unique perspectives and personal stories to help others get ahead in the world of online business. Using everyday concepts, she helps business owners and entrepreneurs connect with like minds and customers in the online space. between Her first book, (still in progress) entitled “Work the Web!: The WebWise Guide to Business Online”, advises business owners and entrepreneurs how to get “beyond the point of pretty pages to the point of profitability.”

A well-respected industry expert, Chris is a media favorite for business publications, national and internet radio shows, and web sites around the globe. She was one of the first African American Tech Talkers in the US. On Blog Talk Radio, her anthology includes . At Voice America’s Business Channel, Chris used her internet marketing expertise to draw over 30,000 listeners weekly, Sunday nights at 6pm. In Philadelphia broadcast radio, Cody Anderson opened the door to her being a popular Philadelphia business and technology personality in the 4th largest media market in the US. Shortly after that, she was selected to be a speaker at the Black Enterprise Entrepreneur’s Conference.

Moving Forward…
Today, Chris is a private consultant working nationally and internationally with business owners, entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, politicians, and celebrities. With her sights set on interactive media opportunities, she’s well into the throws of formalizing a new community web platform, and filming business and technology webisodes. You can expect to see her and her web business savvy, on your smart TV or mobile device in the near future. Watch for C3TV (or some other catchy title) coming soon!
